What does Keysight do?SANTA ROSA, Calif., Jan. 12, 2016
Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) today announced that it is the first company to successfully complete a certification audit by DEKRA Certification, Inc. to the newly revised ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems standard. Keysight completed its certification audit on Nov. 9. The new certification audit is based on the revised standard published in September 2015 at its headquarters in Santa Rosa, Calif.
The new version follows a higher-level structure, making it easier to use in conjunction with other management system standards. In the new version, there is also increased importance given to risk analysis and mitigation. ISO 9001:2015 is the latest revision of the world's most widely applied international standard on quality management systems. ISO 9001 helps organizations demonstrate to customers that they can offer products and services of consistently good quality. The standard also acts as a tool to streamline an organization's processes and make them more efficient at what they do.
DEKRA conducted the audit through its North American operation DEKRA Certification, Inc. Keysight is the first ISO 9001:2015 certification for DEKRA.
"Our assessors are well-versed in this new standard and conducted a transition audit at re-certification," said Dr. Cem O. Onus, managing director at DEKRA. "We validated that Keysight, as an early adopter, met all of the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 and beyond and are proud to continue our partnership with Keysight and congratulate them on this milestone achievement."
"Although companies have three years to comply with the new revision, because of Keysight's mature, company-wide business and quality management system, we were able to accelerate the process to meet the requirements of the certification in a little over two months after release of the new revision," said Rice Williams, Keysight's global quality director. "Our ISO9001:2015 certificate means that we continue to strive to achieve the highest quality products and services, which in turn, allows Keysight to grow and maintain customer loyalty."
To maintain certification, Keysight will undergo a surveillance audit every year, and a re-certification audit every three years.
