Ixia, a Keysight Business, and Delta Networks Showcase Ground-breaking Performance in Hyperscale Data Centers at OCP Summit

SANTA ROSA, Calif., March 14, 2019

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, will demonstrate ground breaking performance in hyperscale data centers using Delta Network's 400 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) switches delivering 400GE traffic and Ixia's K400 400GE validation solution at the Open Compute Project (OCP) Global Summit, March 14 -15, 2019.

Data centers require greater Ethernet speeds to meet the increasing demand for video, artificial intelligence, 5G, machine learning, and internet of things at hyperscale. White boxes, also known as generic off-the-shelf switches, have become a viable option as a result of the rise in software-defined networking (SDN) and the disaggregation or separation of software from networking equipment.

"We are excited to partner with Ixia to drive live traffic through our white box switches," said Jeff Chen, president of Delta Networks Inc. "Achieving performance of up to 400GE speeds is critical as we work to advance higher Ethernet speeds in hyperscale data centers to support the bandwidth required by applications such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality/augmented reality, 5G and the internet of things."

Ixia's K400 400GE validation solution enables full line-rate traffic generation including transmit, receive and capture, Forward Error Correction (FEC), and bit error rate testing (BERT) functionality from 64 to 14,000 byte frame lengths, as well as comprehensive Layer 2/3 routing protocol emulation coverage. This ensures that 400GE solutions meet the performance, scale and quality requirements required by the industry.

"Ixia continues to develop and deliver quality validation solutions that facilitate stress testing, hardware/ASIC development, optics and cable qualification, interoperability and functional testing," said Sunil Kalidindi, vice president of product management of Keysight's Ixia Solutions Group. "Companies like Delta look to us for proven test and measurement solutions to ensure that they offer their customers solutions that work."
