Keysight Technologies to Demonstrate Coherent and Multi-Level Communications Test Solutions at ECOC

SANTA ROSA, Calif., Sept. 10, 2014

Keysight Technologies, Inc. today announced that it will demonstrate test and measurement solutions to advance communications beyond 400Gb/s in telecom, data center and computing at ECOC 2014, Sept. 22 — 24, Cannes, France, Stand 368.

The Keysight test solutions and technical discussions will include:

  • New: Keysight will show, for the first time, a new digital and arbitrary signal generator, the M8195A arbitrary waveform generator, with the highest speed, bandwidth and channel density. It is the most versatile signal generator up to 32 GBaud and beyond, suitable for PAM-4 signal generation to test high-speed ICs and for coherent signal generation to test high-speed optical links.
  • Making swept-wavelength measurements of passive and integrated receiver components with polarization dependence.
  • Characterizing components for next-generation transmission systems using the Keysight Lightwave Component Analyzer. This NIST traceable, turn-key solution for electro-optical component characterization is based on the Keysight performance network analyzer. With bandwidths up to 67 GHz the analyzer characterizes balanced electro-optical components for coherent transmission and supports 56G-CEI characterization.
  • Enabling coherent transmission beyond 400 Gb/s using the industry's most flexible optical and electrical real-time modulation analysis system, the Keysight N4391A, which includes the Infiniium 90000 Z-Series oscilloscope, and the compact, standalone Keysight N4392A integrated optical modulation analyzer. Both solutions enable smart signal analysis for coherent transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) research combined with multi-format complex signal generation.
  • Making accurate generation and characterization of PAM-4 signals, based on the M8000 Series, 86100D Infiniium DCA-X and Infiniium Z-Series oscilloscope.
  • Precisely characterizing 100GbE optical receivers (RX) and transmitters (TX) with the new J-BERT M8020A High-Performance BERT, the Lightwave measurement system and the 86100D Infiniium DCA-X.
  • Learn about the latest updates on implemented compliance test applications for OIF-CEI 3.0, SFF-8431, IEEE 80.23 KR and other communication standards for computing and data centers, running on the digital communications analyzer.
  • Learn how to anticipate problems and provide 1st-pass PCBs for DOCSIS, PCIe, USB, DDR designs and more optical & electronic architectures and PCB implementations with dedicated software based solutions such as SystemVue, ADS, EMPro.
  • See Keysight's new official eBay store where Keysight premium used and Keysight used products with savings of 20 percent are available. ECOC attendees will receive an additional 10 percent discount when buying any Keysight N77xx models at the eBay store during the event. For more information, contact Keysight at [email protected].
