SANTA ROSA, Calif., Feb. 9, 2016

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS) today announced that Granite River Labs (GRL) in Shin Yokohama, Japan, is using Keysight's electronic test solution for USB logo certification testing and high-speed interface engineering services.

In today's increasingly complex electronics field, it is important for test houses and designers to have the right tools to test electronic designs for compliance to industry standards. As a test center for various kinds of high speed standards, GRL has deep expertise in a wide range of technologies, and offers official certification testing, pre-compliance, and debugging support. This includes DisplayPort, PCI Express®, DDR, SD Card/UHS-II, SATA, CFast, HDMI, MIPI and 10G/100G Ethernet.

"We are very excited to expand GRL's presence in Japan," said Johnson Tan, co-Founder and CEO of Granite River Labs. "Japanese hardware developers maintain legendary standards for design and performance, placing strong emphasis on validation at every stage of the product lifecycle. These values match well with GRL's deep engineering expertise and industry leadership in new and emerging technologies."

"It's been outstanding to work with GRL to enable high-speed digital interface standards such as USB and DisplayPort." said Jun Chie, general manager, Keysight's Asia Pacific field organization. "We are confident that Keysight's complete testing solution will help all industrial customers meet quality and time-to-market product development requirements."

USB is the most popular interface between PC and peripherals, supporting 1.5 Mbps to 10 Gbps SuperSpeed+. The new USB Type-CTM connector technology enables multiple interface standards support over a single connector, including USB, DisplayPort, ThunderBolt and MHL, and also power delivery up to 100 W. The USB Implementers Forum (USB-IF) defines the USB certification logo program to ensure the interoperability of USB products. The Keysight Infiniium V-Series, J-BERT M8020A high-performance serial BERT and E5071C 20 GHz ENA carry out the high-performance testing.
