Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers, and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced today that it has been officially approved by China's IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group (referred to 5G Promotion Group) as formal member.
Based upon Keysight's leadership, commitment and contribution to the development of innovative 5G test and measurement technology, supported by 1) utilizing company global capabilities and resources;2) R&D investments in local enterprise, projects and talents; 3) and outstanding performance in China 5G technical trials, Keysight was recognized by the 5G Promotion Group and the industry's the first and so far the only international test and measurement company that is a formal member of the 5G Promotion Group.

In February 2013, the IMT-2020 (5G) Promotion Group was created by the joint supports of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the National Development and Reform Commission of China, and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. The 5G Promotion Group is becoming an active force that promotes the 5G technology innovations in which attracts worldwide leading 5G enterprises. China's 5G technical trial, is conducted by the 5G Promotion Group, and achieves considerable progress.
Keysight is a proven 5G leader in test and measurement. The company provides customers with 5G T&M solutions from design to test, addressing the entire product life cycle, as an example: design & simulation, channel, RF & protocol, OTA, mmW, core network and more. In the 3GPP standardization organization, Keysight's technical experts are working in 5G related working groups on topics such as standard proposals, discussions and formulations.
Keysight continues to support China's 5G technical trials, and it is the only international test and measurement company, currently, that supports and participates in the China's 5G technical trial step 3.
