SANTA ROSA, Calif., July 30, 2018

Keysight Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: KEYS), a leading technology company that helps enterprises, service providers, and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world, announced the election of Rick Eads, Principal PCI Express Program Manager of Keysight's Internet Infrastructure Solutions to the PCI-SIG® board of directors.

PCI-SIG, originally formed as the Peripheral Component Interconnect Special Interest Group, develops and manages the PCI bus specification, the industry standard for a high-performance I/O interconnect for transferring data between central processing units and peripherals. Currently, PCI-SIG manages the PCI, PCI-X® and PCI Express® (PCIe®) standards.

Eads was first elected to the PCI-SIG board in 2007 and served until 2014. Board membership requires yearly ratification via a member-wide election process.  Keysight has supported PCI-SIG and its membership with dedicated test products since the organization's formation in 1992.

"We are very pleased the PCI-SIG membership has re-elected Rick to the board," said Giampaolo Tardioli, vice president and general manager of Keysight's Internet Infrastructure Solutions organization.  "PCI Express represents an important technology for Keysight as many of our customers use Keysight's leading equipment to bring technology utilizing PCI Express to market.  Rick will provide strong leadership within PCI-SIG with regards to measurement science and testing standards."

PCI-SIG is the consortium that owns and manages PCI specifications as open industry standards. The organization defines industry standard I/O (input/output) specifications consistent with the needs of its members. Currently, PCI-SIG is comprised of over 750 industry-leading member companies.

"PCI-SIG is pleased to welcome back Rick to the Board of Directors and appreciates the time and resources that come with this commitment from all of our board members that serve," said Al Yanes, chairman and president of PCI-SIG. "Keysight has demonstrated continued global support of PCI-SIG activities, including workshops, technology seminars and the annual PCI-SIG Developers Conference."

Eads has over 32 years of experience with Hewlett Packard Co., Agilent Technologies, and Keysight Technologies.  In addition to his role on the PCI-SIG board of directors, Eads serves as a member of the PCI-SIG Serial Enabling and Electrical working groups, and has authored and contributed to PCI Express test procedures and related collateral.

PCI-SIG has approved Keysight's M8020A Series BERTs, DSA Z-Series and V-Series Infiniium real-time oscilloscopes for official compliance testing for PCI Express 3.0 RX, RX LinkEQ, and TX testing.  These same Keysight tools are currently being used for PCIe 4.0 BASE specification testing and for providing the PCI-SIG with workshop based correlation data under the PCIe 4.0 CEM specification.

PCI-SIG continues to evolve the PCI standard to meet the industry's needs. Through interoperability testing, technical support, seminars and industry events, PCI-SIG enables its members to generate competitive and quality products.  For additional information on PCI-SIG and its specifications, go to www.pcisig.com.
